Come and be part of a wonderful experience as students compete for the opportunity to represent our school in the regional competition for Poetry Out Loud.  Eleven AHS students have prepared and given life to poetry in individual class contests and will meet one another for a final school-wide competition.  The Poetry Out Loud AHS finals will be on Monday, February 8th at 4pm in the Underground Theatre, room 1110.  Please come and support these remarkable students.

Come join us at the Mardi Gras party Tuesday February 16th after school in the cafeteria.  There will be food, games and, of course, all the beads you can catch.  The party is free for French Club members and $2 for non-members.  Buy a ticket from your World language teacher.

Come out to the next home Friday night  basketball games and help support our AHS Basketball players.  On Friday, February 5th and Friday, February 12th “Stars-n-Studz” Jewelry will have a table set up in the gym with some wonderfully affordable Valentine gifts for you to purchase.  Shop while you cheer on our teams to victory!

All girls interested in trying out for cheerleading there will be a mandatory parent/cheerleader information meeting on February 17th at 6pm in the cafeteria!

Students and Staff: As many of you have heard, one of our student’s, Kyle Puffenberger, has been extremely ill lately. To help his family compensate for medical costs, the Swim  & Dive Team will be selling temporary tattoos that say “4KP” for $.50 in the school store. Please come and buy them to show your support to Kyle and his family!

Beta Club members are reminded to pick up February service sheets and Bowl a Thon pledge sheets from Ms. McGahee. The Bowl a Thon to benefit Haiti Relief is scheduled for Friday, February 19 at Brunswick Lanes in Roswell.
