Reteaching Instructional Support Experience
RISE

RISE is an opportunity for students to relearn concepts from their teachers with individualized instruction.  Sessions are held before or after school in the teacher’s classroom.  (Students should discuss specific morning and afternoon times with their teachers.)

All teachers are available for extra help, should a student want or need it.   However, once a student’s average drops below a 75 in a course RISE becomes mandatory at least one hour a week. It is required that students attend RISE for at least three weeks. After three weeks, attendance in RISE is at the teacher’s discretion.

RISE lunch sessions are available for students unable to attend either morning or afternoon sessions.  Students from the National Honor Society tutor students during lunch RISE.  RISE lunch sessions are held during 4th period lunch in room 5104. Students should report to room 5104 at the beginning of the lunch period.

Failure to attend RISE results in the following consequences:
Step 1: one hour private detention assigned by teacher
Step 2: referral to grade level assistant principal for public detention
Step 3:  referral to grade level assistant principal for Extended Day
