Extended Day Opportunity School PDF Print E-mail
The following rules are for Extended Day Opportunity School Rules (formerly Saturday School):

Monday and Tuesday, 3:50 to 6:50 P.M., Room 5205

1. Students must report to room 5205 and be seated by 3:50 PM. Students will not be admitted after 3:50 PM.

2. Students will complete 2 hours of silent study and 1 hour of community service. Students may use the silent study time to complete schoolwork, read, or complete other projects as approved by the EDOS instructor.

3. Students must bring appropriate study materials. Students will not be allowed to go to their lockers before, during or after EDOS. Students who fail to bring adequate materials needed for silent study may not receive credit for participation in EDOS.

4. Students may not talk or communicate in any way, sleep, eat, chew gum, rest head upon desk, or otherwise waste time.

5. EDOS participants must meet school dress code requirements and be properly dressed for community service projects. Students who do not meet dress code requirements will not be admitted to EDOS.

6. Students must follow the directions given by the EDOS instructor at all times.

7. Any misbehavior or violation of school or EDOS rules will result in a referral to the appropriate administrator for disciplinary action.

8. Transportation to and from EDOS will be provided by the parent/guardian or student.

9. Typical community service projects will focus upon improvements on campus or within classroom areas.

10. Students will not operate power machinery, work from ladders or heights, use noxious chemicals, work in unsafe areas, or perform otherwise hazardous duties.

11. EDOS will conclude promptly at 11:00 AM. Students must leave campus immediately upon dismissal.

12. Students who violate any EDOS rules will be asked to leave and will receive no credit for participation. A parent will be notified if a student is asked to leave.

13. Students who fail to attend/report on time to EDOS will receive 2 days in-school suspension.

14. Each Monday, the EDOS instructor will provide a list of students who attended the previous Saturday to each Assistant Principal.

15. Every student must bring a picture ID.
